In 1970, he entered college, and continued his educational process for the next 25 years, acquiring a Doctorate in Religious Education degree in 2005, blending ministry with education across that span of time. He was ordained into the Gospel Ministry in 1972, and for more than 35 years, actively served several churches in pastoral work. In 2005, Dr. Phil began to travel internationally as a pastoral/leadership specialist, ministering on five continents. In 2014 he was honored with a Doctor of Divinity degree from Christian Life School of Theology, Global.
